Songs and stories

We are finishing off the CD in the next couple of weeks and getting more familiar with some of the stories behind the songs. Mary recorded the lead vocal on Joan Baez's gorgeous "Diamonds And Rust" yesterday, a song written about her relationship with Bob Dylan. It's said that Dylan chose not to marry Baez because: 'Joan won't be there when I want her. She won't do it when I want to do it'

The song written in 1974 looks back at their relationship:
"You burst on the scene already a legend,
the unwashed phenomenon,
the original vagabond and you strayed into my arms"

Here's a sneak preview of Mary's interpretation of the song - we hope you like it!
